I'm trained in a range of modalities and create customized massages for each of my clients catered towards their specific needs and with their goals in mind.
My style is heavily influenced by Hawaiian Lomilomi massage and includes slow, deep, specific movements. I aim to include at least 5 mins of myofascial release work in every massage, as well as assisted stretching.
I'm passionate about massage for therapeutic purposes but also believe in the benefits and power of simply taking time to relax. In our modern lives, we spend so much time in stress/fight or flight mode and it can really take a toll on our bodies, endocrine systems and state of mind. I love incorporating scalp, facial and foot massage... simply because it feels good (and helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system)!
My favorite parts of the body to work on are the chest and the front of the neck. I feel like those areas can get neglected so when they do get worked on, you can really feel the difference! On top of that, it helps to open up the throat and heart chakras.
In the near future, I plan on getting some free yoga videos up on this site for my clients to access and use in their free time! For now, after your session, feel free to ask me about stretches you can incorporate at home.
